1851 State of Maryland Naturalization Document Walter Niphsfont (Nephont?)


Hand Signed by Thomas H. Moore, BALTIMORE CITY CRIMINAL COURT CLERK..1851-1857.

Also signed by John Kettlewell, Nicholas Brice 1771 - 1851 [ Chief Judge.], Alexander Nesbit [President of the Baltimore & Susquehannah Railroad, Slave owner ] William Worthington Ass. Judge.

Original partly printed and partly hand-written, 1848 American Naturalzation Document, Baltimore, Maryland, concerning Walter Niphspont (Nephtpout?) originally of Hesse Darmstadt. (A German Immigrant)

Seal of "CRIMINAL COURT OF BALTIMORE 1851" .

I found a Nephont family in the 1850 census Baltimore Maryland. The names were Balser (Walter?) Nephont born about 1827 Germany, a baker. HIs wife was Margaret age 25 born Germany and daughter Henrietta 1 month old born Maryland. I don't know if this is the same Walter as in the Naturalization Certificate
